Special thanks to the AMAZING Colleen Madden, our Outlander Illustrator, for her beautiful work and support pulling this together.
I would suggest a splurge and get yourself some good, heavyweight paper. I always use Epson Presentation paper.
It makes a beautiful print.
T.
I recommend that you print high quality, heavyweight paper. Epson makes some beautiful papers I use all the time.
Thank you so much. This is really lovely and takes me back to my childhood (many, many, many years go)! Merry Christmas to you all as well.
Thank you! Thank you!!! As soon as I get home from work I will download this!! Happy Holidays to you and your family Terry!
Thank you for the beautiful paper doll and for reminding me about Betsy McCall!
I spent many happy hours conjuring up “sophisticated” scenarios with my Elizabeth Taylor and Esther Williams paper dolls in the 1950s.
Did you ever read Katy Keene comic books? Readers could send in design ideas for outfits for her.
I did. I did. I used to spend long hours designing dresses for her.
Wonderful days of daydreaming about the grownup world!
Terry,
Thank you so much for the Claire paper doll.
I like to print them out on magnetic sheets and then dress them on my refrigerator.
Pieces never get lost and I get to enjoy them every day.
You know how that is being the cook. In and out of the fridge a million times a day.
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Martha x
Hello Terry,
what a fabulous idea!
My daughter is already ‘too grown up’ and I have a grandson – but I’ll print this beautiful paper doll anyway twice – on photo paper …
One I’ll use, the other I’ll save. Who knows, maybe there be a little granddaughter one day!
Wishing you and your family a peaceful, happy and blessed holiday season from Finland!
Taimi
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I’m going to give this as a gift to several ladies on my gift list, printed onto a good quality paper. I cannot imagine a more wonderful treat, thank you, again! 🙂
I just gave this to the friend who originally introduced me to Jamie & Claire; she ran home and cut them out right away!! Thank you 🙂
Thanks!! Love it! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
And thank you, as well, for sharing your beautiful Outlander costumes with us. As well as details about making them!
I have learned so much about how costumes work to create both character and story.
I especially appreciated that you used authentic plaid designs instead of modern, bright colors. I completely fell in love with the world created by the series, and the costumes, set design, as well as the magnificent acting made that happen. I relish my own Scottish ancestry so much more now.
Your generosity at this hectic time of year is so appreciated. Thanks for awakening many dormant memories of paper dolls,, play stages and designing clothes for those dolls! In retrospect, most of my weekly allowance was spent on crayons, paper dolls and comic books LOL!
merry christmas to all and peace on earth. may we all have good health to enjoy. terry i do remember those paper dolls !! ykes!
Paperdoll Claire needs more dresses and a paperdoll Jamie. Thanks, anyway, and Merry Christmas to you too.
Hopefully something like that can happen at some point.
Every month the new magazine arrived and I would anxiously turn the pages to see what Betsy was doing . My Mom had created an environment of art and interest so that my innate talents could flourish. Betsy McCall and McCall’s Magazine provided hours of craft projects, and a sense of discovery each and every month. The wonder of creating things, the joy in learning, the fascination in translating from a flat drawing or photograph to a 3D fantasy world within reality definitely instilled a sense of magic. the 1950’s/60’s were still a time of written page, make it yourself, left over from the generation who had to make do during the war era. Going into the atomic age and the tech age, things get lost. Thank you so much for keeping your hand in, riding with the show and placating the FANmily of those of us out here looking in. It’s a wonder, a joy, and a fabulous ride. Happy Holidays over here, over there, and everywhere in between.
Love it….sadly my printer is not currently working
