One of the aspects that I wish I had seen more of in DiA was the exploration of what it meant for her to leave her child. I understand Bree was a young woman, and they touch on it briefly, but I can’t imagine leaving my children. Maybe that’s cultural, but while loss of a man might damage me, the loss of my children would break me. I always thought that it was interesting that Claire seemed to dwell on it only briefly, and I wonder if it is because the emotion of that moment would have trumped her return.
