may I ask why you want to put lacings in a man’s waistcoat? lacings were used to hold ladies’ bodies (2 body s are a bodice) together so they could fit many sizes with the chemise covering the gap. sometimes even the sleeves were held on that way (in episode one you see that). i’ll go thru my books to see if I can find anything, but men wore coats and vests because it didn’t matter so much if they fit on another man
