I am one who was not convienced by the knitted pieces in episodes 1-8. They just seemed inauthentic. The yarn color and weight looked period, but not the cowls and cable stitches. Perhaps if extras were placed around knitting (in the camp during the Gathering) or, now and again, if an actor walked by knitting (with a knitting belt and stick, yum!) it would have shown the designing and making of these supporting pieces in situ. As I am in the minority, so is this mention – a minor point in a deliciously dressed drama.
