Hi, Jen,
I live in PA. I think a Scottish recipe thread would be a great idea. Sounds like several others would like that too. It would be great to try some “authentic” recipes as well. I’ve only had haggis once as a side to a breakfast when I was travelling abroad.
Scones or “skons” are a hit with my hub, so any new ideas would be great. I’m not a professional baker like you, but am a personal chef and baker to a local convent of 13 nuns. They’re keen to try new things within reason. Since the house is mostly Irish, scones are always a welcome treat. I have a great cream scone recipe and have changed that up with everything, you can think of. Browned butter, pumpkin, cinnamon sugar, blueberry lemon, cranberry orange, almond, chocolate, coconut, cheddar bacon, caraway, sour cherry/dark choc…and so on.
Looking forward to your scones!!!
