It’s hard to remember exactly. But I think part of it was actually “seeing” her reaction to Jamie’s strapping of her. They way she fought against it beforehand (physically and verbally) highlights her strength and conviction of character and willingness to stand up for herself in any circumstance. And then the way she listened, almost against her will, to Jamie in the days after showed her willingness to learn *and* to teach.
